When I saw the Asus Maximus Formula SE. I new I needed a Intel X38-based motherboard and this one was the only board I wanted "Asus Maximus Formula Special Edition". Also this motherboard is extremely good for overclocking.

I've had the Asus Maximus Formula since 2008 and it's been very good, but support from Asus has been very poor. I've had problems with the audio and the over-clocking features. I bought it specifically for the so-called over-clocking capabilities which is poor.
I would not recommend this board.
