Yeah I don't see why the BIOSTAR P4M900 M4 wouldn't work,The Intel Pentium 4 2.53GHz (NorthWood) processor should be fine.

Nice P4M900 board for 478 cpus the only thing i did not like was I had DDR memory not DDR2 but 2GB of DDR2 is so cheap so all is ok. This is an excellent motherboard

With P4M900 being a Micro ATX form factor coupled with a PCIe x 16 slot my 3 computers are faster now than i needed.

This Biostar P4M900 mATX motherboard features some great stuff for old P4 MB.
It's nice that a Socket 478 board is still available Popped in P4 3.0 Prescott and had no issues at setup.

ddr2 memory comes in 240pin only so 184 pin will not work on this board

My old P4 2.4 PC-Chip MoBo died, everything else was ok and couldn't afford a new PC so I got this and it's been working fine for 4 months. Installed everything myself. BTW can someone advice on a budget graphics card for this MoBo? i'm not a gamer but i want to make sure it will run ok.

With components attached such as FDD, CD-ROM, Tuner, Graphics card, 2 HDD, 2GB RAM how much of SMPS watt this board will require?....................i think my prev mobo died because of poor power supply of 350w........is 400w sufficient for the above config? pls advice!

Linux update.
I successfully got Linux to work. I had to install an old distro (Mint 4 in my case) and then update - works well so far. Hope this helps

Ok so i did some research and my casing is an ATX case. i have a shuttle AB60 mobo on it and its dimension is 30,5 x 24,5 cm. Can i still put the new biostar mobo in my case? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I installed this motherboard with a Celeron 2.9 GHz CPU, but am having trouble with it. The CPU is running at 100%, it took more than 12 hours to install Windows XP and is not functional because the CPU is not free to run other programs. Any thoughts or advice on what might be causing this problem?

I\'ve been trying to help someone set up their board and their power supply is old. As I wasn\'t there when this was discovered, I got some info from the user guide and it mentioned something about JATXPWR1/JATXPWR2. I think those were converters or something for his old 20 pin power supply. I\'m pretty computer illiterate in this sense, and I was wondering if a new \"20+4pin\" power supply is all I need, around 380w and above.
