Perfectly valid question. I don't know about this one but in many cases you find the basic functions run fine with w2k but the built in stuff traditionally done with cards (eg., drive control, LAN, SVGA, etc.) doesn't so you may have to have enough slots to use cards for those functions. This is my stumbling block toward selecting a mobo also.
