Asus product again another amazing show at Computex 2012, this time it's the motherboard Asus ZEUS , a motherboard that is unusual and is in the line of exclusive products from Asus, along with the graphs series MARS .
The ZEUS Asus is a motherboard based on chipset X79 of Intel and therefore uses the socket LGA 2011 . It is aimed directly at the high end and exclusive Asus, not only for its price, too, rather its availability limited to 1,000 units.
Were not disclosed many details now, but one feature that makes it so unique is the use of two GPUs on the PCB that are connected to the 16 lines PCIe nortbridge processor. Asus has unveiled the GPU in particular, but there is talk that would be two cores Tahiti XT , the same used in the AMD Radeon HD 7970.
Each core will have its own VRM, memory and so on, so it does not "feed into" the system memory. For its operation will be necessary to use PCI-E which lie on the same PCB of the motherboard, which on the other hand has 10 power phases Digi + VRM. Also has huge heatsinks to all internal components of the motherboard and as shown, there is no PCI-Express slot.
Otherwise carries four DDR3 memory slots on each side of the socket, eight SATA ports 3, eSATA ports, twelve USB 3.0 ports, Ethernet, audio jacks and two connectors Thunderbolt. As video outputs leads mini-Display Port, HDMI and DisplayPort. Unknown price and other specifications, but we anticipate that will be very expensive and will only be available to very few.
