Asus P5NT Deluxe Fast shipping and WOW on the price Newegg was at $339.99, Thank Mobopro for your low price and fast shipping.

User:: Quentin
Find a good review on this board at: http://www.hardwarexl.com

Do keep in mind that the Asus P5N-T Deluxe does NOT support the new 45nm Quad Cores at this time only the 45nm Duo Cores are supported.

User:: goocme
I just got it Asus P5NT Deluxe thanks for the fast shipping A++++++

User:: mennace66
I do have to say that i ordered Asus P5NT Deluxe mine on Jan. 2nd and I wanted 2nd day shipping and it was there Jan. 4. So yeah thx for the fast shipping.

For those of you who might be looking to use an aftermarket cpu fan I got the Asus Silent Square Evo and it fits in there nicely. You cant install it the default way on this board but the installation instructions clearly say to rotate the plate 90°.

I have the P5N-T Deluxe board installed in the Apevia X-Jupiter G-Type case which has 4 fans stock and i installed an optional fan on top in the vent (plus the cpu fan). My current cpu temp is 33°C at idle. So i hope this helps anyone.

Bottom line the board is nice and motherboardpro.com is nice. :)

User:: wysiwyg
These P5N-T Deluxe boards support the Penryn 45nm quad cores as of PCB Revision 1.02g.

I've emailed MotherboardPro to see if this is what they have since that's the CPU I'm planning to use and a lower revision flat out won't work for me.

i love this mobo and i have not had any trouble with it at all..

MotherboadPro has fast shipping, helpful customer service representatives, and great products to offer.
The new BIOS firmware now supports the new 45nm Quad Cores. I had some trouble at first with the system being unstable. This is because the ASUS AI utility automatically over clocked my RAM to 1066MHz when it should have been running at 800MHz. Users may have to also adjust their memory timings and voltage in addition to clock speed. This is easy to do, you just need to be aware of it.

Had this Asus P5NT Deluxe board for 12 days, numerous fail to boot issues. Asus has failed to make a stable BIOS.Q6600 and corsair ram, all the goodies.....Guess i should have waited for EVGA..

User:: Unknown
P5N-T Deluxe Beware this board is still not stable.

User:: Asusjunk
I bought this motherboard on 3 Jan 08 and received it on 22 Jan 08. I have had nothing but problems due to a poorly designed chipset/heatpipe cooling setup and faulty voltage regulators. This board is not stable at any speed much less overclocked. I have attempted all bios (using the auto settings) supplied by Asus without resolution. I have called Asus at their tech support which is the worst tech support I have ever experienced. Their tech support actually shut down due to weather and they refused to call me when they returned to work. They did offer to RMA it for another identical motherboard.
Here is the extent of my issues. The motherboard locksup in less than 5 minutes at stock settings and overclocking only speeds up the process. I tried 3 different sets of memory from different manufacturers to elimate any possible compatibility problems. I looked some of the forums online; http://vip.asus.com/forum/view.aspx?SLanguage=en-us&id=20080206163435765&board_id=1&model=P5N-T%20Deluxe&page=1&count=70 , http://vip.asus.com/forum/view.aspx?SLanguage=en-us&id=20080120041939687&board_id=1&model=P5N-T%20Deluxe&page=4&count=55 , http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=165025&page=7 , to which I narrowed down the north bridge heatsink overheating. The northbridge heatsink was very hot to the touch. I solved this problem with a 80 mm fan after using the supplied fan for the chipset made no difference; and yes I installed chipset fan the correct way. Next was a huge undervolting .189 voltage droop caused by faulty designed voltage regulators for the cpu. I utilized the 8 pin power connector on the motherboard from my PC power and cooling silencer 750 watt power supply so this would eliminate the 4 out of 8 pin useage problem most users have. The only way to counter the undervolting is by overvolting the processor by an equal amount causing more overheating issues with the voltage regulators and processor. The ironic part is Asus has the capability to enable the load calibration to reduce the voltage droop since it is part of the 780i chipset now and the Asus Striker II has this as an option but has not included this. Can you think of any other way to say poor manufacture support?
My current hardware setup is Intel Q6600, (2) Asus 8800 GT 512 video cards sli'ed, Creative X-fi, memory from Gskill, Corsair, Mushkin, PC power and cooling 750 silencer power supply, western digital harddrives ( both ide and sata). All of these parts were tested and running stable in Asus P5K deluxe (of course no sli) motherboard prior to and since these issues. I have tried installing Windows vista, Windows Vista 64, Windows XP and Windows XP64 with the same results.
To sum it all up, Asus needs to atleast release a bios with the load line calibration option to stabilize these boards to eliminate one of the issues. Its enabled on the Asus Striker II so I dont know what Asus issues are.
I cannot recommend this board to anyone and I am considering dropping Asus as a brand for me.
Dave

This Asus P5N-T Deluxe as major issues

Here is a list of items that I have had with this MOB that I can remember

* Originally posted windows XP alright, but froze while doing updates for all the updates for XP and windows.
* will not restart intermittently, would start with fans and lights but hang at either the Bios page or just a black screen.
* Intermittently will have a windows restart-- "windows has recovered from a serious error" or something like that is what it would say
* when loading anything that is multi CD ( like games) on the second or third CD might give a BSOD, with different errors, never could read it fast enough to right it down.
* Intermittently just freezes or locks up and you have to do a reset
* did not like my OCZ SLI ready memory, have bought some Crucial Ballistix but it does not set it right with Auto settings.
* memory is overvolted. At 2.13v in Bios settings = 2.2 with monitor programs, at auto it undervolts the memory
* CPU is under volted i believe. I have mine at 1.38 and CPUZ and Everest say 1.25 and the ASUS prob and AI menu say 1.35
* get random red warnings for voltage for 1-2 seconds like it stops reading it with ASUS probe, but other monitor programs do not see this and there is no noticable effect from them
* have had 2 Bios crashes where i had to reflash bios, one i had to pull battery and set jumper to get it to recover
* Have done every BIOS update as they came out, have 0802 now ( there has been like 5-6 different ones since i got it Jan 10th)
* Have formatted Hard drive and reloaded windows XP once, made no difference
* NB runs HOT. I have good airflow but sometimes it gets over 45C on MOB during tests and gameplay and if ASUS probe is on gives a red alarm warning, does not seem to like lower voltage for stability though, have it at 1.4v now
* does not stay stable at stock 2.4 for me, worked OK for several days with AI factory overclock settings 5, 10 & 20% but each time would lock up or do a BSOD eventually.
* Have had MOB since January 10th and still DO NOT trust it to run reliably. I have spent probably at least over 30 hours resetting, reloading and trying different Bios settings not including all the time spent on the Internet looking up info.
* I maintain several websites for the US Coast Guard Auxiliary and have had to borrow a laptop to not have lost data problems
* enabling SLI memory seems to be worse but still have all problems on disabled with auto and Bios correct settings

It has reached a point that I no longer trust the unit and do not want to waste any more of my time trying to get it trustworthy. It needs to be replaced with something else that is reliable. This experience has soured my taste on ASUS products. I will never buy another one of their products. For the first 3 weeks I could not even post on their website to ask for help in their forums OR their tech website. And the general response I seem to get is "wait for the next correction to Bios". Well - time is money and I have spent well over the cost of the MOB in my time to try and fix it, it is not "cost effective" for me to continue with it.

P.S Go with the EVGA 132-CK-NF78-A1 it works great.

Thanks Motherboardpro for all your help

Hi all,

I have had to discard my p5nt deluxe in exhange for another brand.

ASUS, I think you need to admit that this board is worhty of a full recall. I dont know of anyone who has had any success with it and unfortunatly I found out too late while reading through many forums about this product.

Please ASUS do the right thing and recall the p5nt deluxe before you lose too many loyal customers.

User:: Asusrecall
Yes Please ASUS do the right thing and recall the Asus P5NT Deluxe before you lose too many loyal customers.

User:: Dale
Have owned the board since 2-20-08.
Consider myself expert installer. Have had nothing but problems with this board.
* When I received the board, it would not boot with a Quad 6600. Had to find a P4, install it to test the motherboard. I go online with it and find there is a new bios that fixes this. Put the 6600 back in.
* I too have the problem with dual channel, without dual channel works fine.
* I too have had BSOD, but not often.
* Current problem is freezing while booting. To boot, I have to go into the BIOS, save (not making any changes) and for some reason my problem is solved.
* I run Vista 64 Ultimate. Dual channel with OCZ. 4 Raptors in Raid configuration.
* I can move all of my parts to another machine and no problems.
As soon as the 45nm CPUs come out, I am moving off this Mobo and onto one from another brand.

User:: nbs
i have same problem..
sometimes had BSOD, usb port error
when overclock always hang...
Intermittently just freezes or locks up and you have to do a reset

User:: Jose g
Unfortunatly notice the same thing too.
*frezzing while loading bios
*internat SATA drive failed to be recognise while booting ( had to RMA board)
* fails to install windows (stuck on formatting 1tb drive -another time stuck on loading windows xp title screen for 1st part of windows installation)
check on other devices and they are ok. DAmm thing initially worked for 3 months before cr*pping out.
will try to get asus to either RMA or compesate me for this falure.

User:: MobPro
Jose
If you can tell us if Asus helps you or not.

User:: Robert
Will not boot - no beeps, CPU, GeForce 8800 GTS, Corsair RAM all appear to have power - but does not work - thanks CrapUSA for offering this garbage board

User:: Tom
Yep Robert you said it did you call Asus for support ?

User:: Fedor
We bought P5N-T DELUXE / part No. 90-mbb880-g0eay00z / yesterday but no success with boot-up to today. No response from any graphic card or led indicator on keyboard - all what we can do is power-up/down coolers by pressing power button (4sec. for \"off\" works :-) but nothing else). All other components are tested in other computers. Our next order should be not asus brand :) ..

User:: Fedor
I found the issue for my troubles - the chip that was at onboard slot next to battery (probably bios) was not properly fixated and then board becomes unusable.. now its working..

User:: domitianus
I found the issue for my troubles - the chip that was at onboard slot next to battery (probably bios) was not properly fixated and then board becomes unusable.. now its working..

exactly the same thing happened to me when i was removing hdd to put switch pin on it i somehow must moved the board chip - actully after that i though ive broken the hdd by my moves.. and for two days i was trying to boot my machine without any succes no screen no beep at all... so today i pushed the chip to the board, ive also heard the sound of someting like crush (obviously it finaly got attached propely)...

i coulnd install win before because of auto mem. timing after proper settings acording to the mem spec. it worked i installed win xp but was stuck with the sys restarts after setting memory voltages above 2.0v it was working a while until this experience with the bios chip.. so definitely this board has lots of issues

User:: Asush8r
I cant believe all of you are having these problems....I thought I was the only one...I have been going through hell for months now with this board not booting. Every time I want to start it, I have to sit here for 10 minutes starting and re-starting until it decides to actually start up. Sheesh what a POS. I always heard that ASUS was this real good brand always making good products, and they always cost more.... well they have lost alot of customers over this board it appears. And thats good, because they should recall this board when so many people are having problems. ASUS admit your mistake and recall and move on! Save your once loyal customers!
